How to make a bell sleeve Pattern
INSTRUCTIONS FOR WIDE BELL SLEEVE
STEP 1: For your bell sleeve start off with a basic sleeve block
STEP 2: Take your ruler and extend the side of your sleeve pattern from the biceps. Usually I extend my sleeve pattern out 8-12 inches depending on how dramatic I want to sleeves.
STEP 3: Draw a line as illustrated that connects the bottom of your bell sleeve from one end to the other and now you have a FULL (one piece) Bell Sleeve.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR BELL SLEEVES WITH BOTTOMS SEAMS
STEP by STEP instructions: First you want to start off with a basic sleeve block. Next, you want to make a line down the middle and find out where you want to start the seam of your bell sleeve. I usually go 14 inches down and make a line across. From your new line (where the red dots are) you want to make a line that extend outwards for your bell sleeve. Last step would be to make a new line at the bottom (as illustrated) this will be your new pattern for a Bell sleeve with bottom volume or the 2 piece seam.
